A very special tournament awaited the participants in the D40 age group. The double pairings prepared for the Meden round around the apple with Äppler and other Hessian specialties. In a nice atmosphere and with sporting ambition there was a lot of fun and cool Stöffsche in summer temperatures.

Tanja Saenger (middle) was the tournament director and spoke of a completely successful tournament. Even before the start of the Meden round, the doubles pairings from surrounding clubs had exciting rallies and showed great tennis. Here with the winners of the Äppler Cup 2016, Heike and Corinna from Königstein. They prevailed in a thrilling final against Julia and Maria from Schlossborn.
