25 years of TVR

On December 17, 1976, 94 adults and 34 young people gathered at the “Zum Kühlen Grund” restaurant on Wiesenstrasse in Ruppertshain and founded the “Tennisverein Ruppertshain e. V.” The entry in the association register at the district court in Königstein took place on March 15, 1977. Gaming operations began on October 29, 1977.

25 years of Ruppertshain Tennis Club:

We would like to use these events 25 years ago as an opportunity to celebrate with you on a festival weekend from 23rd - 25th. August 2002 to properly celebrate the founding of the Ruppertshain Tennis Club.

After months of planning by a festival committee with Antje Andreas, Jörn Brennecke, Markus Kapp, Edgard Kappertz, Hermann Marquardt, Roland Nörz as well as the TVR board Frauke Druckrey, Hans Gottsleben, Gerhard Wallauer and Heide Zander, it took place from August 23rd - 25th The anniversary weekend took place in 2002. The marquee was set up on Tuesday. Around 18 TVR members helped with this strenuous work with lots of spirit and fun until late into the night. Over the next few days the tent was cleaned, seating and decorated. This created an appropriate ambience and an ideal setting for festive hours.

The festival weekend began on Friday at 5:00 p.m. with a “Serious Tennis Tournament”. In addition to playing tennis, tasks such as solving a crossword puzzle, putting together a puzzle and representing the other players in the form of drawings, poems or songs had to be completed. After the first round of tennis, we went to the beer tapping. At the end of the tournament, the award ceremony took place with great enthusiasm from the participants.

Saturday afternoon was all about children. A magician cast a spell over the children. Afterwards the children could play football tennis or swing the racket with our coach Michael. The children also had the opportunity to have their make-up done. The participation was very large and everyone was enthusiastic.

The big festive evening started at 7:00 p.m. with over 160 members and friends of the club.

During the evening, the founding members who still belong to the association today, as well as the former and active board members, were honored. After strengthening with a delicious buffet, everyone danced until the early hours of the morning. The group "Midlife" played excellent music!



On Sunday the band “Hot Mustache” played a jazz breakfast. This event was also very well attended and you could tell the joy of the visitors. With regret, the tent was dismantled on the following Tuesday with the help of some members.
